Editing an edition of the Spinal Column

In June of 2022, I worked with a team of freelancers to produce a Lakes edition of the Spinal Column, which came out July 6, 2022. It was definitely something I worked really hard to put my personal touch on by editing, writing and taking photos for and designing it, alongside my team. You can find the link for it here: https://www.spinalcolumnonline.com/pageview/viewer/2022-07-06. There’s also one article that didn’t quite make the edition on Stephen Mac visiting the Commerce Township library that I’m proud of: spinalcolumnonline.com/articles/stephen-mack-jones-visits-commerce-library-as-part-of-author-tour/. I also covered the Wixom City Council meeting for this edition and wrote this story as seen on A2 of the edition. Ultimately, the Spinal Column went out of business and printed its last edition in November 2022, but I’m proud of the work I did on this edition while I was there.

Edition Corrections:

  • Page 1: Centerpiece photo attribution should say “Photo by Jessica McLean/Editor”, not “Special to the Spinal Column Newsweekly/CHRIS WALL”
  • Page 15: Refer should say “June 18, 2022” and not “June 25, 2022”
  • Page 16: Photo attribution should say “Photo by Jessica McLean/Editor”, not “Special to the Spinal Column Newsweekly/CHRIS WALL”
  • Page 19: Quote should say “I have been the head coach for..” instead of “I have been the dead coach for..”
