When I attended Taylor University my freshman year of college, all I knew was that I wanted to write. I started talking to my friend, Christiana Luy, who was also a journalist, about my aspirations, and she suggested we write a story together. She would teach me the ropes so I could get a little experience. This story was the result: the first one I ever wrote. It was published in Taylor’s campus newspaper, The Echo, on September 14, 2007.
